Red Wing star, Chris Osgood, a fellow Plymouth resident, has maybe the coolest backyard ice rink you can imagine. Not only is the rink really cool, there’s an old fashioned log cabin style hockey shed. It’s a place to warm up by the fire and put on or take off your hockey gear. Ozzie entertains the neighborhood kids at his rink. I want to be invited so badly I can almost taste it.

Thanks to that article I finally figured out what house is his. Google shows a deck hockey rink in the summer back there.
I drive by the place everyday but I’ve never seen the rink or the cabin up close.
The house right next to Osgood’s is for sale right now. The picture of the house on the real estate websites is a picture of Osgood’s house taken from that house’s property.
If you become his neighbor, I’m sure he will invite you to skate on his pond. All for only $374,900.
I’d love to be his neighbor. How cool would that be? He’s a good guy. I don’t know him but I know quite a few people who do since his wife went to my high school.
His wife went to JGHS? Weird.
I hope not, but if this ends up being his last year with the Red Wings, I wonder if he and his family would move to his new team location? He’s good for Plymouth and I’m sure Plymouth is good for his family. This is clearly one of the few downsides of being a pro athlete.
When he went to St Louis and NYI he kept his place here. I think he likes it here.
Seems like a lot of pros that play here a long time stay when they retire.
This is only a guess, but I think the Osgoods have put down roots here. As said, Missus Osgood is from this area. I also think Ozzie himself, if he had his druthers, would retire a Red Wing. My belief is that he’ll retire rather than take another goalie gig elsewhere. But that’s all speculation based on things I’ve heard said about him.
Osgood spends his summers in Vernon, BC. Has a place on the lake. Holland already mentioned retiring there (has a place also). Hope the Osgoods stay, but who knows
