Yeah, dude, pretty much everything you said is spot on. If I were on the Plymouth Wildcats, I'd be hurt by the loss but probably almost to the point of laughing at it by now. What else are you going to do, pout forever? If this is truly "humiliating" to someone, he has had a pretty easy life.

The Wildcats should put this one in the book as a loss -- and a life lesson -- and move on with their heads high. They made a mistake but we all do. That's how we learn in life.

And, yeah, there may not be a kid on that team that plays college ball, and if there were one or two, the schools won't stop recruiting them because of this incident.

People are going overboard and acting like this is a national travesty. It a game, and sometimes things dont go your way. How you react to the result is what matters. Plymouth not posting the score and acting like they won is bad sportsmanship and is teaching kids that when something goes against you its okay to whine and talk trash. Accept the result and move on.

And most if not all of those kids on that field are NOT going to play college ball.

Who said this is a joke? Who is "humiliating" them?

It's a game. They lost that game. Anyone who has played a sport has lost and most likely lost ugly. It hurts but that's life. I know I certainly have.

They'll live. Seriously, they'll be OK.

For kids to be put on a national stage to be humiliated and turned into a joke is not okay. This is not okay. The kid was on a knee when he caught the ball too. And these kids are going to have a lot of trouble playing college ball now that they're associated with a national joke. Seriously, it's not okay.

thedude, if that's the rule then the result is correct because it appears his knee doesn't leave the ground until he stands up with the ball.

JGHS Class of 94 here. From what Ive heard the holders knee never left the ground from the time he held the snap to the time he picked up the blocked kick. Therefore he can stand up and run with it, The same rule applies to a fake kick.

My friend recently told me of his 13 year old niece and her friend going out to dinner with them, each armed with her cell phone. He noticed they were both playing with their phones as they sat across the table from each other.

Wondering why they were on their phones but ignoring each other he asked, "What are you doing?"
"Texting," the niece said.
"Who are you texting?" he asked.
"Each other."

Yep.

I guess I am old, 33, but I dont understand the need to text. Last night at dinner the two ladies across from my family sat and texted the whole time they were there. Two people, having dinner and never talked to each other.

"Texting from the time he leaves school until he goes to bed" What a waste of time.

Thanks William. My guess is that these are all decent kids. But kids are awful drivers to begin with. They don't need more distractions. I hope their parents take their phones from them before they kill someone else or themselves.

I was going to respond with a lengthy post, but just the fact that these kids gave their full names to be published along with their responses says it all.

I hope they grow up a bit before they hurt someone. Best to drive defensively around the teens.
