Coming to the internet in the coming weeks to serve the Plymouth and Plymouth Twp communities is patch.com.  The folks at patch describe it as:

What is Patch?

Simply put, Patch is a new way to find out about, and participate in, what’s going on near you.

We’re a community-specific news and information platform dedicated to providing comprehensive and trusted local coverage for individual towns and communities.

We want to make your life better by giving you quick access to the information that’s most relevant to you. Patch makes it easy to:

  • Keep up with news and events
  • Look at photos and videos from around town
  • Learn about local businesses
  • Participate in discussions
  • Submit your own announcements, photos, and reviews

We hope that our sites will strengthen communities and improve the lives of their residents, but we can’t do it without you. We’ve built Patch so that you have plenty of opportunities to comment on stories, share your opinions, post photos and announcements, and add events to the community calendar. So get to it! And if you’re a business owner who wants to be listed, just let us know.

Plymouth Patch is already up and running on Facebook.  If you’re an FB user, go to the link and select “Like.”  You’ll get up-to-date info on Plymouth’s patch.com page as well as local news and information.

Plymouth and a number of local businesses are well represented on Facebook.  I wrote the other day about the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page, but since then I’ve found a number of other pages.  If you’re a “FB’er” you might like these.

If you are a Facebook user, or FB’er as we are sometimes called, you can become “friends” with the Plymouth Community.  From what I gather, this is the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce’s official Facebook page.

If you use FB, this is a good way to follow what is happening in Plymouth and Plymouth Township.
