I took a bunch of photographs at this year’s Fall Festival.  I’m not sure why, but most of them were from the car show.  I’ve been busy the last few weeks with a job change — coming in the next few weeks — and a myriad of personal responsibilities.  Still, people might like some of these pics, untimely as they are.

Fall Festival is right around the corner.  We’re spoiled to live in  a city that has a major event virtually every month.  Out of all the events — Art in the Park, Eco Fair, Chili Cook Off, Mardi Gras, etc — Fall Festival is my absolute favorite!

The main attraction is the carnival.  But that’s hardly my favorite part.  I think I love the community meals (for charity.)  The Kiwanis host a pancake breakfast on Saturday.  The AM Rotary hosts Saturday’s spaghetti dinner and the Rotary Club hosts the long-standing chicken barbecue on Sunday.   There will also be a Taste Fest on Friday evening.  These events really bring people in the community together.  If you live here and attend the events, you’re bound to run into neighbors, co-workers, fellow church attenders or even old classmates.

If you like classic cars or crafts, shows are held over the weekend.

The 55th annual Fall Festival runs

Friday, September 10, 2010  –  12:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Saturday, September 11, 2010  –  7:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Plymouth’s annual Fall Festival runs this year from September 11 through 13.  Notable events this year include:

  1. Bingo, Friday, 6 p.m.
  2. Taste Fest, Friday, 6 to 8 p.m.
  3. Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Saturday, 7 to 11:30 a.m.
  4. Rotary Club Spaghetti Dinner, Saturday, 4 to 8 p.m.
  5. 5 K Run, Sunday, 8 a.m.
  6. Rotary Club Chicken BBQ, Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m.

I love Fall Festival.  Usually the weather’s nice and everyone seems to gather downtown.  Unlike some of the other events, it is the time that I seem most to run into neighbors and friends from the area.

Make sure you get downtown for Fall Festival.
